Before my days in the mobile DJ industry, I spent time behind a microphone doing music, news, sports and production work. I caught the bug while listening to Dick Biondi, John “Records” Landecker, Bob Sirott, Larry Lujack, Jeff ‘N Jer, Steve Dahl, Jonathon Brandmeier, Kevin Matthews and all the great music jocks at the stations I was actually fortunate enough to work at when I was in my early 20’s. I switched to being my own boss after realizing I would need to leave my Chicago Suburban life and home to become a big fish in a smaller pond, to have a chance at stardom. I fondly remember my days in radio, and occasionally reminisce with my old friends.
This is a list of places my voice and/or production talents were heard over the years, starting at my high school studios. I was broadcasting only in the halls, doing the morning announcements in my first attempt after my voice dropped an octave or two.
